Book Discussion--Civil War Stories by Ambrose Bierce

The Herbert Wescoat Memorial Library will host a book discussion on Wednesday, April 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the library’s meeting room to discuss Civil War Stories by Ambrose Bierce, an American editorialist, journalist, short story writer, fabulist, and satirist from Meigs County, Ohio.

Copies of Civil War Stories are available for sale at the library and on Amazon (click here for more information). Those interested in joining in the book discussion may also attempt to check out available copies through the library at the Ohio Valley Library Consortium or SEO.

Sally Shearer, past president of the Friends of the Library, will moderate the discussion.

This program is part of the 2013 Spring Literary Arts Festival, “North and South: A House Divided,” commemorating the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War. All programs offered at the library are open to the public free of charge.
